CHITRADURGA: A youth, who had sustained serious injuries in an accident lost his life even as some locals who had gathered at the accident spot stood some distance away and did nothing to help.
Two youths sustained serious injuries after two motorcycles collided near Balenahalli Cross in Challakere taluk on Monday evening. Even as the two youths lay in pools of blood, writhing in pain for about half an hour, some onlookers did nothing to arrange medical help.
One of the youths, identified as Maruthi (22) of Chikkamadhure village, succumbed to his injuries while the other, who was in a critical state, was rushed to a private hospital in Bengaluru.
The incident occurred in Challakere police limits and a videos of the youths lying in pools of blood on the road has gone viral on social media.
