BELAGAVI: A youth, who had fallen into a 100-foot-deep gorge along with his motorcycle near the popular Chikhale Falls, was rescued by the police and firemen on Monday evening. Luckily, he had sustained only minor injuries.
Vinayak Buttalkar, a resident of Camp areas, and his friends had set out for Chikhale Fall on the Goa-Karnataka when he lost control over his motorcycle and fell into a 100-foot-deep gorge. He sustained injuries in the face and legs due to the fall.
His friends immediately informed the police and a team arrived there and rescued him safely. The incident occurred in Jamboti sub-police station limits.
