Youth booked under POCSO Act for sexually assaulting minor

VIJAYAPURA: A youth has been booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl from Chikkabevanur village in Indi taluk. The accused is Sohel Honmurgi.

The accused Sohel Honmurgi is absconding.

Sohel allegedly lured the minor girl and took her to Maharashtra on May 13 where he sexually assaulted her. He dumped her on May 17 and fled. He has been booked under Sections 366, 376(2) (L) of IPC and 4, 6, 12 of the POCSO Act, 2012.
