HUBBALLI: A youth was arrested by the Hubballi-Dharwad Police for allegedly uploading edited obscene photos of female students on Instagram. It is learnt that the suspect in the case is an old student of the same college.
The arrested accused has been identified as Rajinikanth (21). A few days ago, he edited a photo of a female student of a college in Hubballi and uploaded it on social media. The student had filed a complaint with the cybercrime police station regarding the same.
It is learnt that he was targeting female students as they were not talking to him and would girls who have boyfriends. This year, he was denied admission over poor attendance too and hence, he nursed a grudge against the college authorities also.
“The police have procured some evidence which the accused used to commit the act. We have written to the FSIL for brain mapping of the accused. Further investigation is on in this regard”, Police Commissioner Santosh Babu said.
