BENGALURU: Kannada Bigg Boss runner-up Drone Pratap faces another case, this time for cheating political aspirant of a JD(S) ticket for the zilla panchayat polls.
Chandan Kumar Gowda has alleged in his complaint that Drone Pratap took money from him by promising him that he would get a Zilla Panchayat ticket through party leader and former CM H D Kumaraswamy although he has not identified himself with any political party or leader.
Chandan claimed that Drone Pratap has cheated him of Rs 2 lakh promising to get him a ticket for the Zilla Panchayat election. The complainant has also given audio proof of his conversation with Drone Pratap regarding the same.
In the audio conversation with Pratap, Chandan claims he was promised the youth wing president’s post after a small controversy. “Drone Pratap claims that he was with HD Kumaraswamy and would go to the latter’s farmhouse often but would not share photos anywhere. Pratap claimed that Kumaraswamy is a good person and will not cheat, other than using some objectionable words. He will not throw and tear paper like DK Shivakumar, and respects the poor. He will pay money out of his pocket to anyone who goes to meet him”, Chandan quoted Pratap as saying in the audio conversation.
Following Chandan’s complaint, the JD(S) too is planning to file a complaint against Drone Pratap for fraud by taking Rs 2 lakh, promising a ticket from the party.
