DAVANAGERE: Worms were found in the midday meals rice and sambar served to schoolchildren at Chikkabannihatti village in Jagalur taluk. The incident has sparked outrage among parents and villagers, who have accused the school authorities and cooking staff of negligence.
Parents alleged that despite the presence of worms in rice and tur dal, the staff continued to serve it to the children, who have been avoiding the meal and throwing it away in a drain.
The parents and villagers have demanded that the authorities take immediate action, including the resignation of the headmaster and the cooking staff, and ensure that the children are provided with clean and hygienic food.
