VIJAYAPURA: A professor at the Karnataka State Akka Mahadevi Women’s University has been accused of sexually harassing a PhD student. A complaint regarding this has been lodged with the university vice-chancellor Prof Tulasimala.
Prof Mallikarjun N L of the management department has been accused of harassing his student and a complaint was lodged with the V-C on February 27. The V-C has forwarded the complaint to the internal complaints committee as per UGC norms, which will conduct an investigation into the case.
Prof Mallikarjun has been with the university since 2017. Various organisations have demanded action against the professor for his alleged acts.
