CHIKKAMAGALUR: A woman, against whom a court had issued a summons, threatened suicide by climbing on top of the police station building in Mudigere. She was, however, quickly resuced by a policeman.
In 2022, the woman, identified as Shilpa of Hale Mudigere village, had got into a fight with her elder sister and had allegedly assaulted women police personel. A case regarding this had been registered at the Mudigere police station.
As she had not attended the court proceedings for a year, the court had issued summons to her. Angered by this, she climbed the police station building and threatened to commit suicide.
Luckily, a policeman came up from behind and pulled her off the edge of the building. A video of the incident has since gone viral.
