RAICHUR: The police raided a prostitution den in Sindhanur and took three accused into custody while also rescuing one woman.
Acting on information that the racket was operating out of a house in National Layout on the outskirts of the city, the police conducted the raid. The main accused, Abhishek, who was running the prostitution racket, is absconding. During the raid, police took three accused — Gangadhara, Shamanna, and Vijayakumar — into custody. The victim woman was rescued.
The accused Abhishek had rented the house specifically for this purpose, and lured innocent girls by promising to give them jobs, then used them in the racket. Police have launched a manhunt to trace him. A case has been registered at Sindhanur Rural police station.
