KARWAR: A woman who was out on a morning walk, died after she was knocked down by a speeding SUV at Aversa in Ankola taluk on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Deepa Ashok Naik (55).
The Haryana-registered SUV was also badly damaged in the accident. The occupants of the car were heading towards Kolar from Goa when the accident occurred.
The Ankola police visited the spot and seized the vehicle. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
