MANDYA: Two days after a woman, who running a chemist and druggist store at Kikkeri village in K R Pet taluk was found murdered with her throat slit, the police have arrested a farm hand for the brutal killing.
On Wednesday afternoon, Pushpalatha (45) told the doctor at the clinic next door to her store that she was going home, just across the street, for lunch. When she didn’t return to the store for a long time, her son, who was waiting at the medical store, went home looking for her, only to find her brutally murdered.
The farm hand Ravi Kumar had a financial dispute with Pushpalatha and he had killed over the issue. During questioning, he confessed to the crime.
Ravi used to work on Pushpalatha’s farm and used to visit the house sometimes. Locals had said that his behaviour seemed suspect.
