KALABURAGI: Upset over harassment at her husband’s house and other marital issues, a woman murdered her two-year-old daughter before ending her life by hanging herself at her mother-in-law’s residence in Marapalli village in Chincholi taluk of the district on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as mother Shivaleela (23) and daughter Varshita (2). The woman, a resident of Kerolli village in Chincholi taluk, was married to Ananda from Marapalli village three years ago.
After her marriage, Shivaleela was fed up with harassment by her husband and mother-in-law and came to her mother’s house. Three days ago, Shivaleela went back to her husband’s house, where she killed the child and hanged herself. A case has been registered at the Chincholi police station.
