Woman ends life by jumping in front of moving train after break-up in Soladevanahalli

BENGALURU: A woman from Darjeeling committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train, allegedly after breaking up with her boyfriend, at the Soladevanahalli railway station in Bengaluru. The deceased has been identified as Nikita Gajmer (25).

Nikita, who hailed from Darjeeling in West Bengal, had come to Bengaluru on August 3 to visit her sister. She had been staying with her sister in Soladevanahalli. On Tuesday evening, she went to the railway station and jumped in front of an approaching train. A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Yeshwantpur Railway police station.

During the investigation, Nikita’s sister revealed that she was depressed after to a recent break-up with her boyfriend and was unable to cope with the heartbreak, leading to her extreme step.
