BENGALURU: A woman died after a lorry crashed into her two-wheeler while she was returning after dropping off her daughter Dimpana (4) at school in Nandini Layout on Monday. The deceased is Kalpana (38).
Kalpana (38) was rushed to Kanva Sathya Sai Hospital for treatment, but succumbed to her injuries. She is the wife of Shashikiran Desai, an artist with an English daily and daughter-in-law of renowned artist B S Desai from Hassan.
Family members said that her last rites will be performed in Hassan on Monday evening. The Karnataka Working Journalists’ Association has expressed condolences on her passing.
