KALABURAGI: A woman died and her family members sustained injuries after their car crashed into a sugarcane-laden tractor near Chowdapura thanda in Afzalpur taluk on Friday morning. The deceased was identified as Vidya (40), a resident of Prashant Nagar in Kalaburagi.
Her husband Nitin Kumar and daughter Vaishnavi sustained serious injuries in the accident while the son Vedanth escaped with minor injuries. The car was being driven by Nitin and Vidya was in the front co-passenger seat.
The injured were shifted to a private hospital in Kalaburagi. The Devalaganagapura police visited the spot and registered a case.
