Over 100 detained for taking out Tipu Jayanti procession without permission

CHITRADURGA: The Chitradurga police took more than 100 people into custody on Thursday for taking out a Tipu Jayanti procession without permission.

Over 100 people were taken into preventive custody.

Though they had no permission from the police, a group of people took out a procession in the city on Thursday, raising slogans.

They were stopped by the police and taken into preventive custody.
