BENGALURU: A woman and her daughter died by hanging themselves due to disagreements about keeping a pet dog at their home, in Govindapura police limits. The incident, which took place three days ago, came to light on Wednesday.
Divya, the mother, had respiratory conditions. The doctor had suggested that the disease could not be treated if there is a dog in the house. Pet hair is considered an allergen which can aggravate respiratory issues.
The woman requested her in-laws to give away the dog, but they refused. They even had arguments over having a pet dog at home. Following their refusal to give up the dog, the woman and her daughter committed suicide.
A case has been registered at Govindapura police station.
