RAICHUR: A police head constable was caught red-handed when he was with his girlfriend by his own wife, who is also a police constabe, at Sirwar in the district on Thursday.
Head constable Raj Mohammed, who is posted at Sirwar, and constable Pyari Begum, who is posted at Devadurga, had fallen in love and got married a few years ago. However, for the last four years Mohammed had maintained distance from his wife. He had even taken a house on rent for his girlfriend at Sirwar.
Though he had been advised by senior officials, Mohammed continued his relationship. On Thursday, on coming to know that he was at his girlfriend’s house, Pyari Begum arrived there and locked the house from outside. She then called the police superintendent who directed Sirwar police inspector Guruchandra Yadav to look into the issue.
The police arrived on the scene, opened the lock and took both Mohammed and his girlfriend to the police station. Meanwhile, Pyari Begum has demanded justice.
