BIDAR: Upset over alleged mental and physical abuse by her husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law, a woman committed suicide at Hallikhed village in Humnabad taluk on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Megha (22), who hailed from Khatak Chincholi village in Bhalki. Two years ago, Megha got married to Manjunath of Hallikhed village. Her parents have alleged that after three months of marriage, she was mentally and physically abused by her husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law. They also alleged that the father-in-law sexually harassed her.
A case has been registered at Hallikhed police station and further investigation is under way.
