NEW DELHI: Union Minister Prahlad Joshi on Monday said that wisdom has dawned on the Congress after the Karnataka government issued the circular to 34,000 temples in the state to perform special puja on January 22 when the idol of Ram Lalla will be installed in Ayodhya.

“Wisdom has dawned on them,” Prahlad Joshi said. When asked about his reported statement that Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah is running the government like ISIS, Joshi said, “I don’t deny whatever I have told. The way in which this Congress government is behaving, who has authorised that? (Sixteen cases against Kar Sevak)…”

Meanwhile, BJP MLA Dr C N Ashwath Narayan appreciated the decision taken by the Karnataka government to conduct prayers at all the temples across the state. “It is the right decision taken by the Government of Karnataka…I really appreciate the decision taken by the Government of Karnataka to offer prayers at all the temples across the state,” Ashwathnarayan said.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader C T Ravi said that Congress had left Lord Ram and now they are coming to him. “It is good. We too thank them. They have made a good decision. Wisdom has dawned on Congress after several years….Lord Ram belongs to everyone…Congress had left Lord Ram and now they are coming to him. This is good, it will be good for the country”, CT Ravi said.

In its official post on X the Karnataka state unit of the BJP said “It’s ironic that the Congress Party who is always against Prabhu Shri Ram, known for questioning and even ridiculing his existence, are now doing Ram Japa. The past has proven, how Ram Sena wiped out Ravana and his entire Kingdom. Similarly, today, Ram bhakts have pushed Congress to the brink making them realise their end is near. However, timeless lesson of Ramayana persists – “evil shall perish”. Therefore, regardless of the tactics & tricks Congress does, their end seems inevitable. Such is the eternal cycle, such is the strength of Dharma.”

Transport and Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Sunday said that a circular has been issued to 34,000 temples to organise a special pooja on January 22 (on the occasion of Ram Temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in Ayodhya).

Preparations are under way in full swing for the Ram Temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’ on January 22, which will draw dignitaries and people from all walks of life. The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has decided to enthrone Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum of the Ram Temple at noon on January 22. (ANI)
