BENGALURU: Nowadays, it seems to have become difficult to predict weather conditions, given the extreme climatic fluctuations. A few days ago, the city experienced cold weather due to a cyclone effect, but it is now bright and sunny.

The winter season officially starts from December, but almost two weeks into the months, it just does not seem like winter season. Weather experts feel that cool weather may be felt only in January.

Meteorologist Prasad said this year, the winter season will not be harsh and it is likely that there will be normal cold. “This year is considered a ‘La Nina year’. The temperature of the water in the East Pacific Ocean, which is part of the Equator, is higher than usual. There was less rain and most of the days of the monsoon season too were unusually hot. So, the winter will be less harsh due to the changing climate. There may only be a drop in minimum temperature this winter”, he added.
