MANGALURU: The new Congress government in the state terminated the services of the wife of slain BJP Yuva Morcha activist Praveen Nettaru who was working at the Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner’s office.
Nutan, the wife of Praveen Nettaru, was appointed as a Group-C employee in the natural disaster division at the DC’s office by the previous BJP government on a temporary basis with effect from September 22, 2022. The job was given to her on compassionate grounds after Praveen Nettaru’s murder.
After the Congress goverment took over, it has cancelled the temporary appointment of Nutan. BJP Yuva Morcha activist Praveen Nettaru was brutally murdered near his poultry shop in Bellare on July 27 last year. He was attacked with lethal weapons when he was closing his shop for the day and was preparing to return home.
