Wife of slain BJP leader Praveen Nettaru will be reinstated in job soon: CM Siddaramaiah

BENGALURU: Following the allegations made by opposition Bharatiya Janata party leaders that later Praveen Nettaru’s wife was terminated from government service, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has clarified that her job will be restored soon.

Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah posted saying, “After a new government comes into power, it is a natural process to dismiss the contract employees from government service who were appointed by the previous government. Not only Praveen Nettaru’s wife, more than 150 contract workers have already been dismissed from service. There is no government interference in this process”.

He added, “Considering this as a special case, the Nutan Kumari will be reinstated on the basis of humanitarian ground.”

The Karnataka Congress lashed out at BJP for its claims over the new state government. It is shared a post pointing at BJP stated that Praveen Nettaru was a BJP worker and if BJP was really concerned about his family, they would not give her a temporary job. “It is tried to just rub ghee on the nose. The time has not over @BJP4Karnataka. Get her permanent job at the BJP office with a good salary. Let BJP show its true commitment” the Congress said.

Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders made allegations against the Congress government in the state that it had terminated the services of the Praveen Nettaru’s wife Nutana Kumari.

She was appointed as a Group-C employee in the natural disaster division at the DC’s office by the previous BJP government on a temporary basis with effect from September 22, 2022. The job was given to her on compassionate grounds after Praveen Nettaru’s murder.
