BALLARI: With the summer heat blazing down, wild animals are finding it difficult to survive as water bodies are drying up. With increasing temperatures each coming year, it is making matters only worse.

At the Ramgarh forest in Sandur taluk, water bodies have dried up, causing distress among animals. The situation is such that a group of wild boars were caught on camera drinking up from a puddle on a dusty road.

Though this is only the start of the summer, the situation has already turned bad. Wildlife activists say the Forest Department should act quickly to ensure availability of water inside forests as the summer heat is only expected to intensify in the coming months.
