RAMANAGARA: A tollway staffer at the Kaniminike toll plaza on the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway got into a heated argument with Malavalli Congress MLA P M Narendraswamy on Sunday over letting his vehicle pass through. The incident has come to light only now.
The MLA was on his way to Malavalli from Bengaluru when his car was stopped at the toll plaza, leading to a heated argument. While the MLA questioned why his vehicle wasn’t let through despite producing the legislator’s pass, the tollway staffer kept insisting that the vehicle number had to be entered in the system and the pass held before the camera before he could let the vehicle through.
When the MLA suggested that the police should be called in, the staffer retorted that he was ready to face them and even told the MLA that he was allowing him to pass through for free. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
