KALABURAGI: Following a viral video in which girl students of the post-matric BCM hostel at Kadaganchi village in Aland taluk were seen consuming beer, the warden was relieved from duty.

The Deputy Director of the Backward Classes Welfare Department issued the relieving order of BCM hostel warden Shivabhadramma on June 5 and a report was sent to the Backward Classes Welfare Department office in Bengaluru.

The relieving order mentions threatening the girl students, failure in managing the hostel, and discrimination in hostel admissions. Despite failing in hostel management, she was relieved instead of being suspended, which has raised several doubts.
