Visitors allowed entry to Nandi Hills on Sunday, but it’ll remain closed on Monday

CHIKKABALLAPUR: The popular tourist destination Nandi Hills and Skandagiri Hills were opened to visitors on Sunday, but it will be remained close on Monday, July 3, in the view of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit, according to a revised notification issued by the district administration.

Chikkaballapur Deputy Commissioner P N Ravindra made changes to the previous order and issued a fresh order for lifting the ban for entry of visitors on Sunday.

Entry for visitors was allowed on Sunday, but Nandi Hills will remain closed for tourists on Monday due to security reasons, Chikkaballapur Deputy Commissioner Ravindra and SP Nagesh clarified to Public TV.

President Droupadi Murmu will visit Sathya Sai village in Muddenahalli on Monday. In view of this, the Deputy Commissioner had issued an order restricting tourists for two days on Sunday and Monday. But, on Sunday, the district administration allowed entry due to pressure from visitors.

A large number of visitors came early in the morning to watch the Sun rise and the beauty of Nandi Hills. The Nandi Hills will remain close for one day on Monday for VIP security.
