CHIKKAMAGALUR: Villagers of Yerehalli tandya in Tarikere taluk came together and pulled town an tiled-roof house belonging to a family claiming that the land actually belonged to a temple.

In videos doing the rounds, villagers can be seen taking down the tiles of the house even as some members of the family were inside. The villagers questioned the family why they had built the house on land belonging to a temple.

Some members of the family were inside the house when the villagers pulled down the tiles.

The house belongs to one Rama Bhovi, but the villagers claimed that records show that the land belongs to a temple. They also claimed that land has not been legally allotted for the house and pulled down the roof tiles.
