The village accountant has sought mercy killing to end his harassment.

GADAG: A village accountant in Mundargi taluk has written to President Droupadi Murmu seeking euthanasia due to alleged harassment by his superiors.

Yogesh Kurahatti, the village accountant of Dambal village, claims that he has been facing harassment from Mundargi tahsildar Erriswami despite performing his duties satisfactorily. He alleges that the tahsildar has been issuing notices and causing mental distress.

Kurahatti states that his salary has been withheld for two months, making it difficult for him to support his family, which includes his ailing member. He had previously faced similar issues with his salary being withheld.

The village accountant has expressed his frustration and desperation in the letter, seeking the President’s intervention to end his suffering.
