VIJAYAPURA: ‘The Kerala Story’, which has grossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office is making waves for being the only movie with a female-led character to achieve the feat.

Vijayapura City MLA Basanagouda Patil has organised free screening of the movie for the noon show at Apsara theatre in the city for three days.

MLA Basavaraj Patil Yatnal has organised free screening of ‘The Kerala Story’ for three days.

Raghav Annigeri, an aide of Yatnal, said, “He is perhaps the first MLA in the country to organise free screening of the movie for nationalistic youths. Earlier, he had organised free screening of ‘Uri-The Surgical Strike’, ‘Baby’, ‘The Kashmir Files’, ‘Tanaji’. ‘The Kerala Story’ highlights the plight of Hindu girls who become victims of love jihad. The movie will be screened for three days and if there is more rush, Yatnal has promised to continue sponsoring the show. The people of Vijayapura are happy about it”.
