BENGALURU: Videos that have emerged in the aftermath of the ghastly stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium last Wednesday show fans of Royal Challengers Bengaluru throwing caution to the winds and risking their lives while putting others at risk. The videos are now doing the rounds on social media.

In one of the videos, two of the victims, Prajwal of Chikkaballapur, and Manoj of Tumakuru, can be seen struggling to free themselves, but did not get any help. Manoj collapsed as he was unable to breathe and his friends could be seen struggling to get him out of the spot by flagging down vehicles. Finally, they can be seen offering an autorickshaw driver Rs 1,000 to shift Manoj to a hospital.

Prajwal too fell down, but no one came to his help though he held up his hand and pleaded for help. The crazed fans can be seen just pushing ahead without stopping to help Prajwal. His mother criticised the behaviour of the fans for not trying to help Prajwal.

In other videos, some fans can be seen having scaled the roof of the stadium stands while other videos show the packed stadium with barely any place to move and the fans finding it difficult to breathe. The stampede, which occurred during the victory celebrations of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru which won its maiden IPL trophy, left 11 people dead and about 65 injured.
