BELAGAVI: An unidentified man committed suicide by hanging from a tree near Kanbaragi Road at Mahantesh Nagar here.

The man was found hanging with his shirt and banyan tied to a tree. Locals suspected that he may have committed late in the night.

The incident occurred in Malmaruthi police station limits and Police Sub Inspector (PSI) Honnappa Talavara visited the spot.
