RAMANAGARA, TUMAKURU: Two youths were brutally murdered in separate cases in Ramanagara and Tumakuru on Friday night. The police are on the lookout for the attackers in both cases.
Nishant (25) from Kondapura village in Channapatna taluk was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon at Kadamba Hotel near Bidadi late on Friday night. Nishant had been working as a security guard at the hotel for the past two and a half months.
The police suspect that the murder was committed due to old enmity. The assailants stabbed Nishant in the ear with a knife while he was sleeping at the hotel and also took away the DVR of the hotel’s CCTV camera. The Bidadi police visited the scene and conducted an investigation, with fingerprint experts and a dog squad.
According to the police, Nishant had a previous case registered against him at the Konanakunte police station in Bengaluru. The Bidadi police have launched an investigation and are working to apprehend the accused.
In another incident, Abhishek (26) was brutally murdered in Tumakuru city near Jayanagar in Manjunatha Nagar. Abhishek, a resident of Subhash Nagar near Kyatasandra, was found dead with stab wounds around 11 pm. The reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
The Jayanagar police visited the crime scene and conducted an investigation. The body was shifted to the Tumakuru District Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered at the Jayanagar police station, and the police are continuing their search for the accused.
