BIDAR: Mild tremors measuring 2.1 and 1.9 on the Richter scale were felt twice at 4 am and again at 5 am at Vaddanakera village in Humnabad taluk today. The tremors caused panic among the villagers.
Deputy Commissioner Govind Reddy appealed to the villagers not to panic while MLA Siddu Patil visited the village and took stock of the situation. He also pacified the villagers that there was no cause for concern.
The Chitaguppa tahsildar, senior police and mines and geology officials also visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
