BENGALURU: A two-wheeler rider was crushed to death after a Kia SUV crashed with his motorcycle on the busy Hosur-Bengaluru main road, near Giddenahalli in Attibele police station limits. The deceased, identified as L Shivakumar (46), was working at Ashirwad Company.
Shivakumar, a resident of Salem, lived in Hosur. He met with the accident while he was returning home after work this morning. The speeding Kia car hit the bike from behind. The car driver then ran over Shivakumar, who had fallen on the road, and dragged him for some distance.
The highway authorities and Attibele police rushed to the spot. The car driver, Balakrishna, has been taken into custody and the car has been seized. A case has been registered at Attibele police station.
