BIDAR: The Primary Education Department has ordered the suspension of two teachers at a government high school in Aurad taluk after a girl student was allegedly sexually harassed by one of them.
The suspended teachers are Manikrao and and assistant teacher Jagadevi who allegedly tried to hush up the incident. Manikrao is accused of sexually harassing a girl student by holding her hand and a case was registered against him under the POCSO Act on July 1 after the parents lodged a complaint with the Kamalanagar police.
Deputy Director of Public Instruction Saleem Pasha ordered the suspension of the two teachers after the case was registered by the police.
