Two students stripped, beaten up in Yelahanka New Town

BENGALURU: Two students were stripped naked and beaten up by seven fellow students of the same college  in Yelahanka New Town over a trivial reason.

Krishna and Yuvaraj of a private college near Rajanukunte were attacked by a group of seven other students.

There was a clash that erupted among the students in the college for a trivial reason. Krishna and Yuvaraj went to the place where other students lived to see a rented house.

At this time, seven students gathered together and beaten them up after locking them inside the same house.

The  group stripped the two students and threatened them by recording a video.

A case has been registered at the Yalahanka New Town police station. Following the complaint, police have arrested seven students.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) B M Laxmi Prasad said, “One of the accused, Anamitra, was assaulted by someone in a clash. So he targeted these two to take revenge though they were at no fault. The accused assaulted the two students with a rod and wooden sticks from 2 pm to 8 pm after locking them inside the house. It is also alleged that they burned the victims with cigarettes. The accused got the victims to transfer Rs 50,000 through Phone Pay after threatening them. They also threatened the boys to give Rs 4 lakh. A case of dacoity has been registered against the accused and they have been sent to judicial custody”.
