CHIKKAMAGALUR: Two speeding SUVs of the same make, heading in the same direction, collided with each other in a bid to overtake, and overturned near Jenubailu village in Mudigere taluk on Sunday afternoon. The injured occupants of the two vehicles are being treated for their injuries in hospital.
The two cars, both of the same make, were heading towards Bengaluru from Jenubailu when one of the car drivers, in a bid to overtake the other, lost control and hit the other SUV. Both vehicles were thrown off the narrow road while one of them even flipped over.
Locals immediately rushed to the aid of the car occupants and shifted them to the primary health centre at Gonibeedu. After initial treatment, the injured were shifted to the government hospital in Mudigere for further treatment.
The Gonibeedu police have registered case.
