DHARWAD: Two people, including the driver of a passenger van, sustained grievous injuries while 11 others sustained minor injuries after the Tempo Traveller crashed into a truck which had broken down, on NH-4 near Tegur on the outskirts of Dharwad on Tuesday night.
The front portion of the Tempo Traveller was badly crushed, trapping the driver and another passenger in the front seat. Truck drivers struggled to rescue them and shifted them to a hospital in ambulances.
The other passengers who sustained minor injuries were shifted to the district hospital. The Garag police have registered a case.
