KOPPAL: Two policemen on night patrol sustained injuries after they were assaulted by a group. The incident took place near Kote Veerabhadraswamy temple in Gangavati town two days ago, but came to light only now.
The injured policemen are Sharanappa Goudru and Shivraj. The accused Arbaz Khan and his associates assaulted them when they questioned why they were waiting in a group at 11.30 pm on the road.
The injured policemen are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. A case has been registered at the Gangavati town police station. While one person has been arrested, the police are on the lookout for other accused.
