BENGALURU: An elderly passenger was thrashed by two fellow commuters, including a woman, on a BMTC bus near Kottigepalya on Tuesday evening. The elderly passenger was left bleeding. The bus was travelling from Kommagatta Junction towards Nandini Layout.
According to eyewitnesses, the elderly passenger had requested the bus driver to stop the vehicle, but the driver didn’t comply. Instead, the bus moved a little further ahead. This led to an altercation between the elderly passenger and the two fellow commuters, who assaulted him.
Two people together beat up the elderly man so badly that his face was bleeding. The exact reason behind the assault is not clear yet. The BMTC bus, with registration number KA-01-F-401/43, belongs to Depot 49.
