HASSAN: Two KSRTC bus drivers fought over parking at the KSRTC bus stand platform at Channapatna in Hassan city on Friday, resulting in one of the drivers assaulting the other. However, no complaint has been registered so far.
An argument broke out between two KSRTC bus drivers over parking the bus on the platform. The argument escalated and one driver, Hemanth Kumar, assaulted the other driver Chandan.
A KSRTC bus bearing number KA-42-F-2308 from Kanakapura depot and another bus bearing number KA-09-F-5249 from Mangaluru depot were both heading to Dharmasthala. An argument broke out between the two drivers over who would park on the platform first and leave first. During this, Hemanth Kumar assaulted Chandan.
Senior officials intervened and mediated between the two and sent them off. However, as the Kanakapura depot bus was leaving the bus stand to head to Dharmasthala, some youths, alleged to be from Chandan’s side came in a car, blocked the bus, abused the driver in foul language, and attempted to assault him. Due of this, there was a traffic jam for some time and vehicle users faced difficulties.
