Two Kerala youths on motorcycle ride die after hitting parapet wall in Davanagere

The motorcycle was lying on the road and a car hit it on Thursday morning.

DAVANAGERE: Two youths from Kerala, who were on a motorcycle expedition, died after their vehicle hit a parapet wall on National Highway-54 and they fell several feet below near the railway tracks close to SS Hospital here.

The youths had fallen several feet below near the railway tracks.

The deceased were identified as Atul (25) and Hrishikesh (24). As per preliminary information, they were coming from Kerala on a motorcycle ride, the police said.

It is suspected that the rider may have lost control and hit the parapet. Both the rider and pillion fell near the railway tracks and died on the spot.

On Thursday morning, a car hit the fallen Royal Enfied Himalayan motorcycle, leading to some injuries to the car driver. Police Superintendent Uma Prashant visited the spot. A case has been registered at the Davanagere South traffic police station.
