KOLAR: Two motorcycle riders died in separate accidents near Srinivasapura and Malur in the district on Monday.
A car collided with a two-wheeler near Madarankapalli Cross in Srinivasapura taluk, leading to the death of the motorcycle rider. The deceased was identified as Shankar (40) of Jeedimakalahalli.
He was immediately shifted to the government hospital in Srinivasapura, but did not respond to treatment. A case was registered at Rayalpad police station.
In another incident, a two-wheeler rider died after colliding with a truck near the stadium in Malur town. Manikanta (23), the deceased, a resident of Chikkakunthur village, was on his way to Indiranagar in the town when the accident occurred. The Malur police have registered a case.
