BENGALURU: Two people died on the spot and two others suffered critical injuries after a truck lost control and collided with a passenger autorickshaw at Summanahalli Junction in the city early on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Yesu D and Jennifer, the auto driver and a woman passenger. Two others, who were seriously injured, are battling for their lives.
The truck, which was traveling from Nagarabhavi, reportedly suffered brake failure and crashed into the autorickshaw and a car. The impact was severe that the autorickshaw was split into two pieces. The truck that came on to the main road in Kamakshipalya also hit a two-wheeler rider.
The horrific scene of the accident was captured on a CCTV camera. The Kamakshipalya traffic police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras.
