Two dead after speeding superbike collides with food delivery agent’s two-wheeler in Mysuru

The overspeeding Hayabusa came up from behind and knocked down the food delivery agent's two-wheeler.

MYSURU: In a horrific crash, a delivery agent with an online food platform and a man speeding on a superbike died after their vehicles collided on Nelson Mandela Road in the wee hours of June 6. The deceased were identified as M S Karthik (42), who was working with Zomato, and Syed Sheran (30), a resident of Chamarajanagar.

In CCTV footage which is now available, Karthik can be seen riding his two-wheeler to deliver an order around 2 am when Syed comes speeding from behind on a Suzuki Hayabusa superbike. Syed crashes into Karthik’s two-wheeler and both were thrown several metres away from the point of impact.

The Hayabusa motorcycle caught fire and was completely gutted. The Narasimharaja police rushed both Karthik and Syed to KR Hospital, but they were declared brought dead. A case has been registered a further investigation is under way.

In another accident, several passengers of a KSRTC bus sustained minor injuries after it collided with a lorry near the APMC yard at Bandipalya on the outskirts of Mysuru on Tuesday. The bus was on its way from Mysuru to Chamarajanagar.
