Two Covid patients die, 74 people test positive in 24 hours

BENGALURU:  A total of 74 people have tested positive for Coronavirus in the state in the last 24 hours, while two more deaths have been reported.

A 51-year-old man from Dakshina Kannada and a 51-year-old man from Mysuru, who were infected with the Coronavirus, have become the latest casualties. A total of 6,403 people were tested across the state and 74 were found to be positive for Covid-19. Of them, 57 people have been infected in Bengaluru.

As of now, there are a total of 464 active cases in the state, and 423 people are quarantined at home while 41 people have been admitted to the hospital. Of these, 16 are in the ICUs while 25 are being treated in the general wards.

Apart from Bengaluru, Mysuru has recorded the next highest number of active cases at 32. There are nine active cases in Shivamogga, eight each in Dakshina Kannada and Hassan and five in Mandya.
