KOLAR: The regional transport officials (RTO) at KGF have seized two private buses running with the same registration number on Wednesday. The buses have been seized and handed over to the BEML Town police station.
The buses belong Alagu Thangam Holidays and Ramesh Tours and Travels and have a Tamil Nadu registration number. Officials said the bus operator caused losses to the exchequer to the tune of lakhs by cheating.
Since Kolar is a border district, buses run with permits of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu also. Officials suspect that there could be more such cases of buses running with the same registration number and plan to intensify their drive.
