Two arrested for pelting stones at car, threatening driver

BENGALURU: The Whitefield police have arrested two people for in connection with an alleged road rage incident wherein the duo, who were on a motorcycle, repeatedly chased a car to stop it, threatened the occupants and pelted the vehicle with stones in a bid to break the windows. The incident occurred last Saturday, but the provocation for the incident was not known.

The motorcycle rider can be seen picking up a stone and threatening the car driver.

A Twitter users, going by the handle @Namma_watching, posted stating, One more #roadrage case caught on camera within a span of 1 month in Siddapura #whitefield limits, #Bengaluru. As per information the two wheeler chased the person in the car & his family 3 times to assault them & pelted stones & tried breaking the windows”. The user also tagged the city traffic police. The videos had garnered more than 65,000 views.

In dashcam videos posted on Twitter, the duo can be seen repeatedly stopping their motorcycle ahead of the four-wheeler in the middle of the road, asking the driver to get off. On a couple of occasions, the driver manages to get away, but the duo catches up again.

The duo chased the car and repeatedly blocked it.

On Monday, the city police tweeted saying, “Pertaining to this incident an FIR has been registered in Whitefield PS on 5th August 2023, 2 accused have been arrested. Further investigation is underway”.
