BIDAR: The Dhannur police have arrested two people near Halabarga, while they were illegally transporting scheduled drugs, including cough syrup, from Bidar through Bhalki near the Maharashtra border, and seized all the goods.
The police have seized 159 Codeine cough syrup bottles and 300 Nitravet tablets from the arrested accused. Some drugs, when consumed in excess, give a high.
A case has been registered at Dhannur police station. The police produced the accused before a court which remanded them to judicial custody.
